I am working on plans for my den. I want a gorgeous space to work at my computer, be crafty, do some occasional sewing and work on some of my interior design programs. What do you think of this palette?
Product sources listed clockwise from top left:West Elm Papier-Mâché Animal Sculpture,
Ballard Designs Suzanne Kasler Sisal Board, Plantation Lacquered Boxes, Plantation Timeless Hourglass, Missoni for Target Black and White vase (no longer available) with Pottery Barn White lamp shade, West Elm Horse Bookends, Kelly Wearstler Flair Fabric, Ballard Designs Helm Wing Chair, CB2 Fuel White Credenza with Baldwin Hardwin Polished Chrome Door knocker
I love this crisp black and white color scheme with pops of bright orange. Of course I would love a gorgeous trestle desk like this one from Williams Sonoma. In my life, lots of concealed storage is key so this piece from CB2 is great but its very stark and modern--so I've added some great over sized hardware on the doors. These simple chrome door knockers give the visual look I am going for. What do you think?
I know a wing back chair is a little unexpected for an office chair but I think it really softens the space especially in a home. I would love to see this piece upholstered in Kelly Wearstler's black and white
'Flair' print fabric. You can see I have also re-imagined my black and white Missoni vases repurposed as lamps. So fun! Finally, a few great desk accessories to keep me organized like these colorful orange boxes, an hour glass, horse bookends and a sisal bulletin board.
And dont forget the crazy Gemsboks head! Its out there, I know.

Always room for a wing back chair!!
Love the idea of re-purposing the Missoni vases as lamps.
