Canadian House and Home Celebrates 25 years of Gorgeous!!

I was absolutely delighted to open my mailbox today and see the  November issue of Canadian House and Home. This is my absolute favorite magazine!! Most people laugh when I say that--I am guessing since its from Canada and you'd think the US would have plenty of great magazines to top my favorites list. . . but they DON'T. Ever since Domino went out of print, I think many design lovers have felt a strong void in the print magazine market too. I will say--the emergence of online design magazines like Lonny, Rue and Adore has done a lot to make up for this void-, but its just still not the same.

So why is Canadian House and Home so great? Well, I'll tell you. . . it strikes the perfect balance of attainable design products and ideas for the average home dweller but it also offers a nice balance of some higher end inspiration coming from celebrity and designer homes to keep things interesting.  Their 25th anniversary addition that shows a fun peak into the magazines history over the past couple of decades and also highlights some design trends booms and busts over the years. Here's a round of what the hot design booms of the moment are!

Love the kokeshi dolls in the first photo! I've started a small collection of them -- so cute!

Oh fun! I totally agree. I think I may have a couple at mom and dad's too. I asked mom to look for a few of my old wooden dolls, matryoshka dolls, ect.

Thanks for reading my blog!
